TRANSITION COMPOUND, Asahi Building Gallery, 15-22. February 2006, Tokyo
Our Exhibition in Tokyo, which happened at Asahi Art Square, in Asahi building gallery, was result of our cooperating with SICE (Sarajevo International Cultural Exchange), association leaded by Japanese Artist and curator Sohei Iwata. Our collaboration Started In Barake, our working space which we used as ateliers and galley, concert hall, and so on. We have to note here that Barake space was discovered first by SICE artists in 2004, cause their project was 5 year project, and was dealing with conceiting and improving Sarajevo art scene and life with the rest of the World.
One day SICE representative came into Barake and offered their coolaboration.We were really like SICE work and idea, and we admired theirs effort to deal with problems for 5 years. We decided to join and to help. Later, Sohei Iwata invited us to come in Tokyo and to have one month workshop crowned with exhibition on the end. We accepted that call, and we get in Tokyo in beginning of February 2005, in this group: Adnan Jasika, Demis Sinancevic, Muhamed Begic, and Emir Kapetanovic.
