Visionary Society Group was really tired and exhausted from our mission and from everything. One old friend from Sarajevo, web designer and artist, Senad Pepic, Has in his hands keys from one really beautiful and ancient gallery in old part of town of Sarajevo.
By the time, few new artists have appeared, and next generation was ready to show what they can do. This is main reason for VD to take part in this exhibition, because, we need to reorganize and to set things and everything level up, and to free up space for new creative forces. Exhibition called 2+12, with its symbolical title, is connected with 14 rooms, how much this gallery has. This Gallery called Kursumli Medresa was once Muslims school and pupils were in mentioned chambers. In the middle of this architectural beauty is kind of a small obelisk shaped monument, with common fountain on it, surrounded by some space between the monument and the octagonal shaped walls. On the walls are doors of chambers, and every artist took one room for his works, but also outside walls some artist used.
This created one metaphysical space and mysterious feeling caused by fact that when one look outside from one chamber or from the entrance, place showing there is nobody inside, but it was always full of visitors which were hidden in chambers while they were observing and enjoying exhibited works.
One important fact for this exhibition is that Visionary Society after that ‘’making space’’ for younger artists got kind of sign and honored by new energy that we all felt, and after that we are feel like reborn. This our web is result of that synergy of generations, as our project BOSNIART internet portal for art and culture happened immediately after 2+12 exhibition, as many other projects, which appeared a little bit later. So, now it is kind of new age for us, and with our so called VD experience from early years of world wide actions, it is now no Age of Aquarius or something like that, rather to say here, age of VD.
